The following is a listing of information that I have collected on the Purdy line that I am part of. I do not know if everything is totally accurate but this is what I have learned so if anyone out there has any information for me to continue on or knows of any errors in my lineage then please get with me at coolshar9@hotmail.com to discuss. I am very interested in going back further or knowing if there are any people out there that are doing research on this same family tree. My mother is a Purdy from the Utah Purdy's, her father was Edmund Purdy married to Bernice Kruitbosch (Purdy). Her grandfather was Milton Edmund Purdy born Dec 5, 1883 in England, and he settled in Utah and on March 08, 1911 he married Myrtle Jenkins (Purdy) born March 9, 1884. The father of Milton Edmund Purdy was James Purdy who was born in 1863 in Poplar England and on July 11, 1878 he married Mary Eliza Robins (Purdy) who was also from Poplar England and was born in March 1854. The father of James Purdy was Samuel Purdy who was born on Oct 31, 1820 in Poplar England and on July 2, 1840 he married Eliza Chapman (Purdy) who was born April 15, 1819 in England. They later moved to Utah where they died 10 days apart on Feb 08 & Feb 18 1901. Another note here is that there were numerous generations of Samuel Purdy's and James Purdy even had a brother by the name of Samuel. The father of Samuel Purdy/1820 was of course another Samuel Purdy who was born on 25 April 1784 in Norfolk England and he married Ann Page (Purdy) who was born on April 8, 1786 in Norfolk England, she died on January 16, 1850 in Norfolk England and then this Samuel also moved to Ogden, Utah where he died on Oct 19, 1853. The father of Samuel/1784 was Mathew Purdy who was born around 1756 to 1758 and there is no information on Mrs Mathew Purdy so I am at a standstill on going back any further in my generations. PLEASE HELP WITH THIS INFORMATION IN ANY WAY THAT YOU CAN Notify Administrator about this message?
