Has anyone found any information on Lewis Cooper, wife of Delila Alexander? I'm doing research for a friend and I have information from Lewis to the present through their son James Franklin Cooper, but I have hit a brick wall on Lewis and any farther back. I have that he was born in 1812, probably in Union Co., SC. From other researchers, he and Delila probably married between 1829-1834 in Union Co., SC. I have a death date of 8 Sept 1873, but no source on that date.

I have Delila on the 1850 census in Weakley Co., TN with 4 children: Alfred, Clark, James, and Elijah. According to "family stories", Delila left "to join the Mormans in Utah" for about 15 years. I have her on the 1870 census for Shelby Co.,TX living with her son Alfred. According to a family Bible, she died in Shelby Co., TX 15 Sept 1873, but I have found no records yet on that.

Any help with Lewis Cooper would be greatly appreciated! Also, I would like info on Delila Alexander Cooper between 1850 and 1870. Thanks in advance.
