I am trying to find out more about my relatives who emigrated to Utah in the late 19th century. I and my family are probably coming to Salt Lake City this June. I am writing a big paper at the University about what happened to my relatives in Utah. For how long were they mormons? What congregation did they join? What did life look like for the Swedish mormon emigrants. Do you know how I can find out theese kind of things? Are there any news magazines from that time that I can read? Do the mormons keep any records over how people lived, and what they did? Does anyone know anything about Erika Larsson or Emil Melander from Frösthult, Måtteby, Sweden. Or Lotta Melander, Emil´s mother. Do you have advice on what I should do to find out things like this in Salt Lake City. Are there any records about the mormon missionaries who travelled to Sweden in the late 19th century? Do you know someone, maybe with Swedish roots who would be willing to help me? Do you know someone who would be able to rent us a room for a few days in June? I would love if you contacted linda_angelos@hotmail.com Linda Jansson Notify Administrator about this message?
