Jacob C. WOOLSEY, Tennessee to Utah
Posted by: Wilford W. Whitaker Date: February 14, 1999 at 20:08:39
  of 3841

To Interested WOOLSEY descendants:

Jacob C. Woolsey of Washington County, Virginia, Greene County, Tennesse, Nauvoo, Illinois and Salt Lake City, Utah (by 1850) md Elizabeth Weger in Greene County Tennessee.

He is a brother of Joseph Woolsey who married Abigail Schaffer. Joseph Woolsey died in Fayette Co., Illinois, abt 1839 and Abigail Schaffer Woolsey and many of her children joined the LDS church and came to Utah in 1847, 1848 and 1852. She died in 1848 at the 9th or last crossing of the Sweetwater and her grave was dug by her brother-in-law Jacob C. Woolsey.

Are there any descendants of Jacob C. Woolsey out there, who don't quite fit into the known WOOLSEY families of Utah? Would greatly appreciate hearing from you.

I have much CORRECT data on the Utah WOOLSEYS and am looking for other relatives.

Sincerely,

Wilford W. Whitaker
