The common denominator for Nebraska, Milford, UT and LosAngeles, CA is the "Union Pacific railroad".
You might try checking other rail road towns along the line for "Wm Grant Aynes". Omaha,NB, Cheyenne, WY, Ogden, Salt Lake City, Lyndyll, Delta and Milford, UT, Caliente and LasVegas, NV, Los Angeles and Bakersfield, CA were all major service terminals during the steam era, 1869-1960.
I was born in Milford in 1940, long after the time frame your interested in, but there are still family names in the area dating back that far. "Beaver" is the county seat of Beaver county where Milford is located. But, for that time frame I would look in the State archives in Salt Lake..Larry
