Harry Hopkinson served in Pago Pago, American Samoa 1933-34

Anyone knowing or having any information regarding the Navy serving in Pago Pago, American Samoa around 1933-1934. I am looking for information on my grandfather, I believe was a doctor by the name of Harry Hopkinson. I think he was born in Ottowa, Canada as stated in my father's birth certificate. My father never met his father, his name is also Harry Hopkinson, born in the village of Leone, in Sept. 1934. I have requested info from both the Canadian Navy and US Navy, and was told that I did not have enough information to find anything. I would appreciate any guidance or help, on where to start my search.
