Bob,
The CVE's were the smallest of Aircraft Carriers, only held about 20-30 planes. My father's ship, USS Fanshaw Bay, was 1 of many that received the Presidential Citation Unit Award, for combat with the main Japanese Fleet. If/when I finally find out what the "CR" stands for, I will post a follow-up. Thanks for all your help. Roxanna
