I am new to all of this, but my father told me he was in the navy. When he died he had a 6 gun salute and military burial. How do I verify that he was in the Navy and where he was stationed and what he did, etc. I dont even know where to begin.
His name was Donald Eugine Oliver Oct 08 1946. He died Mar 6 1996. I have his SSn but do not want to post it her. He lived in Troup Ga but do not know exactly where he was born.
