Hello, Jean - Yes, bounty land was given for service in the Mexican War. To get details, I just now made a Google search. For my search terms, I used "mexican war" "bounty land" together.
That is to say, I put the words in quotation marks, just as you see them above, and I used both at the same time - In other words, I asked Google to search for items that had both of those terms in them. I got some good hits that went into detail.
