MY GRT GRT GRD FATHER WM. MARTIN SMITH B. 1824 FOUGHT DURING 1846-1848 MEXICAN WAR.

HE RECEIVED A LAND BOUNTY WHICH HE SOLD.

HE MARRIED A GIRL NAMED ELIZABETH CHANDLER DOWN IN TEXAS AFTER THE WAR ABT. 1850 BUT SHE CAUGHT HERSELF ON FIRE COOKING AT A HEARTH SO HE LEFT TEXAS SOMETIME BETWEEN 1850-1860.

HE FIGHTS FOR THE CONFEDERATES FOR TX AND ALABAMA IN THE CALVARY AS A SGT. AND IS IN MACON,GA IN 1865 AT WARS END I'M ASSUMING HE WAS CAPTURED.

HE MARRIED MY GRT GRT GRD MOTHER MARTHA ANN MOORE B. 1840 WHOS PARENT WERE FROM ORANGE CO.,NC IN MONTGOMERY CO.,AL IN 1866 IN THE 1870'S, THEY MOVE TO FOWL RIVER MOBILE CO.,AL ON THE BORDER OF JACKSON CO.,MS. THEY EVENTUALLY MOVE OVER TO MS WHERE THEY LIVED.

HE DIED IN 1902 IN ESCATAWPA, JACKSON CO.,MS WHICH IS NEAR PASCAGOULA.

HE IS IN ZIONS-EHLERS GRAVEYARD IN ESCATAWPA,MS AND NEEDS A MEXICAN AND CIVIL WAR MARKER FOR HIS GRAVESITE.

IF SOMEONE KNOWS HOW TO GET THESE MARKERS I UNDERSTAND ARE FREE, PLEASE ORDER THEM FOR ME AND HAVE THEM SHIPPED TO HIS GRAVE SITE.

HIS GRAVE IS CLEARLY MARKED WITH A GRAVESTONE SO THEY CAN FIUND IT SINCE IT'S A SMALL PLACE.

THANKS
