My gg grandfather William Charles Brown served in that war, I believe from OH. The only info I have is he served in the 6th regiment. If you don't mind, would you look at see if he might be listed. I don't know if the regiments were formed from various counites or not. I do show that he was born in Prebel County and married in Darke Co. OH in 1849. Thanks in advance for any info you might have.
