Co. F, 4th TN Infantry in Mexican War

I am seeking information on Thomas Jefferson Bridges, who appears on Company Muster-in Roll for Co. F, 4th Tenn Infantry dated Nov 3, 1847, Memphis, TN. Muster in date Oct. 5, 1847. Joined for duty and enrolled Oct 5, 1847 Memphis during War with Mexico.

Private, Capt. McAlister's Company, 4th Reg't Tenn Infantry Company Muster Roll for Oct 5 to Dec 31, 1847.

Company muster roll for Jan-Feb 1848. Died at Molino del
Rey Feb 14, 1848.

Researched at the National Archives by my cousin.

Where could I write for enrollment documents, next of kin, etc.? Muster out was dated Memphis, TN, July 31, 1848.

The battle for Molino del Rey was fought in early September. If he was injured, wouldn't there be some kind of record? The battle only lasted 2 days.

Any help appreciated.
