PFC 27 Marines - Marine Division Edmond (Edmund) BLACH, son of John BLACH from Poland (Galicia/ Austria) and Martha Horetski from Detroit Michigan, Killed @ Iwo Jima during World War II, is buried @ Evangelical Cemetery in St. Clair Co., Capac, MI. Edmond's had three brothers who also served during WWII: Leon Blach (Army - Germany, Japan), Walter Blach (Marines/Navy - Pearl Harbor?), and Edward J. Blach (Navy - Pacific Rim USS Dixie). I am Sally Rose Blach, daughter of Edward J. Blach and Georgina Marie Mousseau. On Edmond's tombstone his name reads "Edmond (Majeski) Blach, and he is buried next to Wesley & Dorothy "Delta?" HISTORY: All brother's were orphaned in 1928 and fostered out of St. Vincent de Paul's Orphanage out of Detroit, MI. Except for my dad, the youngest @ 4 yrs old, who was raised by his maternal grandparents near Kinde, MI in Huron County: Martin Horetski (aka Horiski aka Horeske)and Margaret "Maggie" (Pasjak - aka Bishop - Pasjik - Payik - Peyok) German Settlers.
