PFC 27 Marines - Marine Division Edmond (Edmund) BLACH, son of John BLACH from Poland (Galicia/ Austria) and Martha Horetski from Detroit Michigan, Killed @ Iwo Jima during World War II, is buried @ Evangelical Cemetery in St. Clair Co., Capac, MI.Edmond's had three brothers who also served during WWII:Leon Blach (Army - Germany, Japan), Walter Blach (Marines/Navy - Pearl Harbor?), and Edward J. Blach (Navy - Pacific Rim USS Dixie).I am Sally Rose Blach, daughter of Edward J. Blach and Georgina Marie Mousseau.On Edmond's tombstone his name reads "Edmond (Majeski) Blach, and he is buried next to Wesley & Dorothy "Delta?" Ledebuhr.Edmond's eldest brother, John Jr. died at
HISTORY:All brother's were orphaned in 1928 and fostered out of St. Vincent de Paul's Orphanage out of Detroit, MI.Except for my dad, the youngest @ 4 yrs old, who was raised by his maternal grandparents near Kinde, MI in Huron County:Martin Horetski (aka Horiski aka Horeske)and Margaret "Maggie" (Pasjak - aka Bishop - Pasjik - Payik - Peyok) German Settlers.
