John, If you do a search for Agness at www.familysearch.org you will get a bit of info. It says her father died in Dunedin in 1902. She has the same parents as your Agness but it says she was born in Wolver Hampton (sic). It also says she married Thomas William Usmar in NZ in March 1870?? Further it says that TW was born in Wolverhampton which looks just plain wrong.
John Henry didn't change his christian names by any chance, did he, or do we have a skeleton here?
To the best of my knowledge this branch of the family does not exist in NZ today. I presume they emigrated to America.
Perhaps my GGG Grandfather Oliver (born 1788 in Egerton) was Roberts Uncle.
