Merging Individuals Creates Duplicate Children
Posted by: Robyn McKinney (ID *****2193) Date: April 11, 2013 at 17:23:29

Hi all,

I am having a problem when trying to merge individuals. I can select which date / facts etc I want as preferred etc, no problem there. The problem arises once the individuals are merged - there are 2 sets of the same chidren ! If the children are attached to Person 1 and Person 2, they are just duplicated ! Not good. This just creates more duplicated individuals, possibly with children of their own. How can I overcome this without going through and deleting each child manually?

Any ideas? Using FTM 2009 (and I believe it does the same in FTM 2012)

Thanks

Robyn
