I have a Custom Fact called "Notes" and another for "Questions".
I put all kinds of things in Notes, among them married status of unmarried. I generally use the exact wording in quotes, if coming from a published genealogy or article "never married", "single", etc. If I base that conclusion on my own work, I can usually not be certain the person had never been married and certainly not certain that he/she never had children - so I would normally use "Prob never married" or "no marriage found through 1930 census" or similar.
