living persons

Hi Russ,
A few days ago I was prompted to upload a patch 21.0.0.580 to my FTM 2012 programme, which I did. After later carrying out a gedcom export to my website via my FTP client and checking the "privatise living persons" box, I inadvertently deleted the main file. After finding an older file to backload I now show all living people as "living" and surname, thereby having lost all their christian names and birth dates etc. A second older tree that I backloaded also showed the same living persons as living surname. Any ideas how this may have occurred and how to remedy it please? I now have around 400 christian names and dates of birth missing.
Regards,
Ray.
