Mary,

You can't find the tutorials or anything on the Help Menu?

To Add a new Fact to a person, go to the People Workspace, Person Tab, and you will see a green Plus sign. Click on that and a list of Facts will be there. Scroll down to Military, or just type "M" and you will be taken down to the Facts that begin with "M".
