8 days ago I upgraded from FTM 2006 to 2010. What a mistake!
I have spent uneccessary time doing three installs. Why?
Well when you click on the startup icon I don't expect more than a few seconds delay but to wait sometimes up to 90, but averaging about 40 seconds, while the program tries to initialise is quite ridiculous.
Secondly and far more serious is when I go from family view to person view, the program, simply and without warning, shuts down.
Last, for this session, is the incredible fact that my great grandmother is married 29 times, amongst others to my grandson!!!!!!
And what do I think the cause is? I took the opportunity, for obvious reasons, of using the bridge program TMG to FTM which has shown itself to be veritably useless.
I shall now do a simple Gedcom conversion and see how that works out.
But if anyone else recognises these problems and knows why and how to correct, would be glad to hear about it.
