The fastest way is to look at Ancestry, Fold 3, but is as his service was after the Korean War there will not be much if anything online. His Army service record would be at the NARA (archives.gov). His widow and children can order a copy of his record. Will need a certified copy of his death certificate. If he had a military funeral the family should have supplied a copy of his discharge or retirement certificate.

You can try a Vietnam Veterans Website for help and try to find any that may have served with him.
His obit mentions an American Legion Post and a VFW 9696, if he was a member they may have records he provided to join.
