Henry Gilson/Samuel Blackman

A Private Henry Gilson is shown on the site http://distantcousin.com/Military/WWI/NYTCasualties/1918/May/30.html as being severely wounded in WWI. His next of kin was given as Samuel Blackman of Philadelphia. I have reason to believe that Henry Gilson was my uncle, as my paternal grandmother's maiden name was Blackman, and I have some knowledge that there was an S. Blackman of Philadelphia that was somehow related to our family. Is there any way I could find out exactly what the relationship was between Henry Gilson and Samuel Blackman?

Any help in this would be greatly appreciated.
