Enlisted March 17, 1942 in Ft Lauderdale, Florida b. 1911 and was a Widow or widower with out dependants.

In the 1930 census he is listed as Otis Derr living in Many Twsp, Sabine County, Louisiana with parents A.D. and Mammie Derr with 5 younger siblings, 4 sisters and a brother. Looks like his brother Clyde died in the same place as Ottis in 1997, per the SSDI.
