Hello Derr Family,

I am trying to find the family of Ottis V. Derr. I have his Army paper where he recieves rank of Corporal, the 16th day of August 1942. I would like to return this paper to his family, if found?

I am researching my family's genealogy, and would love to have a piece of my family's history returned to me. And I hope someone would want the same for their history.

This is what I can tell you about Ottis V Derr from this paper from the Army of the United States:
Private Ottis V Derr (34235951) to Corporal (TW) Co. "C", 76th Armd Med. Bn, 16th day of August, 1942.
Camp Chaffee, Arkansas
signed by: Roosevelt Cafonelli(not sure of spelling)-Major, MC, 76th Armored Medical Battalion

When I removed the paper from the frame, it had a card of some sort behind frame. Not sure if it is important? But may hold the place where Mr. Derr may have lived in 1965.

This card reads as follows:
serial No 94394

User's Adjustment Card
GOLD STAR
Tube Type: 212P4B Code Date-----
Date Purchased: 2/20/65 Date Failed------
Purchased From: (cant read signature) User name:A.O. Derr
Address: Many Address: Box 953
I believe this is for a TV tube, dealer Gold Star.

I hope this finds someone interested in this, so I can return it to family. For this man did a great service by serving his country.
Thank you,
Dawn
