Walter Blackmore was born 3 October 1886 in Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales. In 1901 he was employed as a cotton piecer at Chadderton, Lancashire, UK.
I believe that he emigrated to the USA via Canada during 1909 although I am still looking for both the port of embarkation and disembarkation.
I understand that he served in the US Armu during WW1. In 1917 he is living in Portland, Maine and by 1930 he is in orfolk, Virginia.
He died December 1975 in Norfolk, Virginia. Am seeking any information relating to his service in the US Army.
