looking for info on Uncle who was injured and then killed in Germany 5 Apr 1945. He was drafted into Army 23 March 1943 for training in Camp Roberts CA Then overseas 25 July 1944 he made Sergeant of Company C 15 Infantry Regiment. He was injured we have cards from Hospital Plant #4298 2 Feb 1945 he had a wound in upper left arm.
They were near a village in Germany on 5 Apr 1945 fire was received and he was killed instantly. He was first reported missing and than killed. He received two purple hearts.
We would like to find out some more info as to the battle and name of the village, men in his company etc.
Please help me if you can as I can not find any info. Thanks
