Brad,

My first 6 year enlistment ran from 28 Nov 1979 28 Nov 1987.
After finishing BMTS I came out of there as an A1C(E-3)
(due to my enlistment term & AFSC).
1 Oct 1981 promoted to Senior Airman (E-4).
At the time the two were seperated from each other only by one year & BLS (Basic Leadership School).
The following year (1 Oct 1982) it was an automatic promotion to Sgt. (E-4).
I held that rank until 1 Aug 1988, when I was promoted to E-5.
That was the system that I served in, And thanks to Mr. Clinton that was my final rank.
