I am searching for files pertaining to General Frederick Von Harten Kimble, U.S. Seventh Air Force, Tinian Island Commander titled
the Tinian Island Command Files (Kimble was responsible for all island construction). Earlier this year I also made a preliminary search of the files at the Air Force Research Agency at Maxwell Air Force Base, but was unable to locate anything on General Kimble. .
My snr historian Don Farrell and I have been working on the history of Tinian during World War II. The Tinian Island Command files are critical to the overview of what transpired on the island from the time he took over from General James Underhill, USMC, in November 1944 until the final demobilization of the island in May/June 1946
Any info would be apreciated
