I was the proverbial Air Force "brat" and my fathers were stationed in the UK in the '70s.I do know RAF Upper Heyford was in existence in the early 70s.RAF Lakenheath the latter part of the 70s.The only other facilities that strike my memory at this time is Bentwater, Alconbury, Feltwell, and Mildenhall (which I believe was more Naval). In NM, there is Cannon AFB outside of Clovis and another in Albquerque but the actual name escapes me.These may be more recent air bases but agree with your other replies in trying the historical records.Good luck!
