Dear Laura the closest year of birth I came across was one Giovanni Ratto born 1857 among 15 persons also named Giovanni Ratto entering Buenos Aires Argentina from italy during the 1800's. They all came to Argentina from the port of Genova but may have been born in other places in Northern Italy. This is gthe best I can do sorry. petertimber NYC
