I am a descendant of the Thomas Urie (b. 1718) who was the brother of Nancy Urie Boyd. I descend through Solomon Urie (b. 18 Dec 1769 Bedford Co., PA) who is the son of the above Thomas Urie & Sarah Reed. I then come down through Samuel Urie b. 25 Aug 1791 in Washington Co., PA (son of above Solomon Urie & wife Elizabeth McConnell) & then down through Samuel's daughter Rachel Urie (b.1835)who married George Stout in Ashland, OH.
I have read several variations of the capture of the Boyd children. Think it occurred in February 1756 & have also read it occurred near Carlisle, PA. Georgia
