Abigail Urie was the third wife of Samuel Shinn. It is said she was German in background and that they were married in the German Reformed Church abt. 1740. She was born in Hunterdon, NJ and he was from Burlington, NJ, a Quaker by upbringing.
Urie is a Scots name. If she was German, probably the spelling was originally Uhri or Uri.
Can anyone connect her to a particular family?
