Hello Des,
I am a descendant of John Uren born abt. 1818 in Liverpool, England. I have records of his family. His wife Susan Humphrys was b. abt 1823 in Ireland. They were married 29 Oct 1843 in St. Ives. Their children were:
Grace b. 2 Jul 1846, St. Ives md. John Stevens Davies 1870
Susan b. 2 Jul 1846, St. Ives
William b. 7 Sep 1849, St. Ives md. Grace Jennings 1877
Catherine Humphreys Uren b. 9 Jun 1853, d. 12 Dec 1853, St. Ives
Catherine Humphries Uren b. 11 Dec 1854, d. 5 Sep 1855, St. Ives
I was happy to read your post and wondered if you have other siblings for John's Parents. You mentioned William the elderly brother of John in the 1841 Census. I would also be happy to share the information on my branch of the family and would like to know more about John's father and mother. Hope you still have the same E-mail and will reply to this post.
Can you give me the location of where the children were living in 1841. I am still looking for that Census Record.
