Hello Jon

Great to hear from you - hope you had a good Xmas and New Year.

Thanks for the information. I can't see any direct connection between our two Uren families yet, but the combination of Uren, Liverpool and Cornwall sounds too unlikely to be coincidental.

Do you know what brought your ancestors to Liverpool from Cornwall? Do you have any idea what their occupations were - from the places they emmigrated to from Liverpool it sounds like they might have been hard rock miners.

My own Uren ancestors seem to have been mariners as well as miners. Do your people have any maritime connections? In particular, are you aware of any connections with the Liverpool docks?

Best Wishes for 2006
Des
