Ure, James (27) [brickmaker; d. Waimate 13/7/1881]; Elizabeth née Street, wife (27) [d. Herbert 1/12/1879 arrived in Port Chalmers, New Zealand on the Philip Laing,
459 tons, sailed from Greenock on 23/11/1847, and Milford Haven on 20/12/1847, and arrived on 15/4/1848. Their daughter Mary Stark Ure married my Greatgrandfather Donald Sinclair Senior 22 March 1878. Donald Sinclair from Calderbank near Glasgow arrived into Port Chalmers on the Peter Denny 1873. James Ure is thought to have come from Stirling.
