Hi Dawana Hulowski;
I am also searching the Ure family and recently made a trip to the New Hampton Cemetery in New Hampton, Iowa.
My reason was to search out the graves of the family of
James Ure and his Wife Ann Ure.
There is buried on the James and Ann Ure lota John
Henry Inskeep and his grandson, John Edgar Bopp.
These two, Inskeep and Bopp are of our family of Bopp's and Inskeep.
In the will of John Henry Inskeep, he had willed his estate to Ann Ure. He and his grandson, John Edgar Bopp had live with the Ure's for some several years.
My question is, What was the maiden name of Ann Ure ?. Was she related to John Henry Inskeep ?.
In this same cemetery is buried other Ure's. On the James Ure lot is Minnie and Elmer Ure.
On another lot some distant from James's lot is Herbert J' Ure, and his father, C'T'Ure, .
James Ure dates are 22 June, 1826
Ann Ure dates are 10 Sept. 1836
Elmer Ure dates are 1863-1905
Minnie Ure dates are 1861-1925
C'T' Ure dates are Feb. 14, 1858-July 15,1906
(Son) Herbert J Ure dates are Oct. 24, 1883- Apr. 14, 1921.
Should you be related or know of these Ure families, I would very much appreciate hearing from you. I am trying very hard to find the connection (if there is one) of Ann Ure to our Inskeep and Bopp family line. We have no idea of why John Henry Inskeep and his grandson ended up in New Hampton, Iowa. We have found no connections to any other family members being anywhere near that area.
Sincerely
