Ure Lockhart connection scotland to detroit mich 1800's
My GGgrandfather George Lockhart was b. 1819 in Scotland and came to USA around 1855.
I think his mother may have been Margaret Ure m. George Lockhart in 1804 and I believe her children to be:
Elizabeth 1806
William 1817
John 1808
George 1819
Janet 1810
Helen 1822
Margaret 1812
Jean 1824
Agnes 1815
Walter 1829
I have a photo of my George and his brother but no name on old photo of his brother. My George m. Jane in Scotland and they had a few kids there then more in Detroit Mich during the 1850 and 1860's.
Childrens names
Margaret, Helen, Agnes, Elizabeth, Jessie Fulton Lockhart, Jennie Shaw Lockhart, George, Jr and possibly more.
My George was a marine engineer and then worked at Hiram Walkers brewery across the Detroit R. in Walkerville now part of Windsor Canada. He was killed by detroit streetcar in 1912 at the age of 92/93
