Just started working on our family history.Found this entry on Genealogy.com through Google.Have some info that may be of value, would appreciate any that you may have in return.Jacob Urban was my Great Grandfather.Jacob "Jake" Urban was born in Germany in 1832.he was married twice (1st Catiberin/Katrine/Catherine??)(2nd was ANNE WALTERS-URBAN, my Great Grandmother)(Rebecca???)He died on or about June 4, 1906.He was a private, company L, Ohio Regiment for 3 years with the Union Army in the Civil War. Disability occured-enlargement of the heart. There were not many houses in East Greenup before 1880.He was "well off" and had considerable property including the first saloon in the county. Many people went "over the Rhine" as it wads called to the Urban Saloon. He owned the first automobile in the county and he may have been a Judge, Justice of the peace or Magistrate. His son Charles Lewis Urban was my Grandfather, David William Urban was my Father. Hope that this helps...
