Bob, The David Upton she refers to was not part of your MA Upton family. He was the son of an Irishman Edward Upton who came to this country in the late 1820's and settled in Beekmantown (Clinton Co., NY).
I publish the Upton Encyclopedia CD which has about 1000 pages on the family of your John Upton. Please let me know if I can ever help you with info.
