William Upton father of Charlotte approx 1800's

Hi, I am looking for some information on the Upton family... I don't have much to go on. I know that my great-grandmother's name was Jane Hardy m. William Barber. Jane Hardy's mother was Charlotte Upton m. Joshua Hardy (great great grandparents). And that Charlotte Upton's parents were William Upton m. Charlotte Rowles. I do not have any dates of births, deaths, or marriages, I believe that the family orginated from the U.K. (either England, Scotland, or Ireland). Any help would be much appreciated. Thankyou.
