Has anyone see the spelling of Updegroff as one of the variations of Uptegraff? Not certain where else to look. I've been attempting to find the parents of Mary Clymer b. 8/20/1796 who married Casper St. Clair. I recently received mail from another person researching this family who obtained the information that her parents were John Clymer and Polly Updegroff. Also, I've seen more than one instance of Polly being a nickname for Mary. I have no idea why. My father believes this would be Updegraff. This would all be for Northumberland Co., Pa. Any information whatsoever would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Linda
