I think I may have found a location for the cemetery near the Southington Reservoir. Actually, there are three reservoirs named Southington 1, 2, and 3. A representative at the CT Department of Environmental Services faxed me a portion of a topographic map which shows a cemetery called the "Southeast Burying Ground" centrally located between the three bodies of water. An unimproved road leads to the grounds. I have no proof that this is the place and no idea whether the stones of Samuel and Ruth (Cowles) Upson are still extant but I'll post an update when I find out. Does anyone have a record of the Southeast Burying Ground in their holdings?
