The Upson Genealogy says that Delevan P. Upson was born on 30 Jul 1847 in Plainville, N.Y. He died on 30 Jan 1915 in Jacksonville Florida. He married 18 Sep 1878 in Syracuse, N. Y. to Jane R. Ludington who was born on 25 Dec 1857 in Fulton, N.Y. They had two childrenRuth N. Upson and Marion Irving Upson. Marion Irving Upson also died in Jacksonville. There is no connection given to the Benton he was in business with. Delevan was the son of George W. Upson who was the son of Miles Upson who was the son of Ruel Upson who was the son of Benjamin Upson who was the son of Stephen Upson who was the son of Stephen Upson who was the son of Thomas Upson (the immigrant father). This genealogy does mention Polly Upson who married John Benton she was also a descendant of Thomas but their familes branched off after Thomas's son Stephen.
