I have found the Upson Book to be the best source available. Of course, there are mistakes because you could not even retype this volume of material without making some errors. There were settlers in Connecticut in the 1630's I also have connections to an Elwell family and they go back that far there also. A good history of Connecticut would answer some of your question in that regard. As far as the Julia Upson and Roswell Moore marriage goes I found it in the Upson Book. My other posting implies the reference as well as some additonal lineage. Hope you are enjoying the search.
