Looking for information on Upshaw of Wayne Co. MS. My grandfather was Druies (or Duries) married to Polly Cooley in about 1915 He was born in 1884 (?) to D. Upshaw-I think-not sure about his parents. I think his mothers name was Willie Stricklin. I do know that his father was born in Alabama and his mother was born in Mississippi. I have found lots of information on my grandmothers family (Cooley/Brewer) but nothing on the Upshaw side.
The only things that I have found for sure on my grandfather was a land patent and WWI draft registration-there was also a Drew Upshaw on registrations from Wayne Co.-maybe related.
