Hi Pat,
"BENJAMIN UPHAM of Franklin County, Vermont, volunteered to go to Plattsburg, [NY] September, 11, 1814 and served in 15th or 22nd Regt. Ref: Hemenway's Vt. Gazetteer, Vol. 2, Page 392."

"SAMUEL UPHAM, JR. of Montpelier, Washington Co., Vt., volunteered to go to Plattsburg, [NY] September, 1814 and served in Capt. Timothy Hubbard's Company.
Ref: R. & L. 1812, AGO pages 208 and 256."

Source is "State of Vermont ROSTER OF SOLDIERS IN THE WAR OF 1812-14," prepared and published under the direction of Herbert T. Johnson, The Adjutant General, 1933, pages 430 and 431.

Sorry, I do not know if your Walter Raleigh UPHAM is related to either of these soldiers. These are not my ancestors. Jan
