I am working on the Reed Family History. I am looking for information on Joseph Theodore Updyke, born in 1808, Hunderton/Mercer Co., New Jersey; died in 1876, Mercer Co., NJ. Joseph married Emeline Reed in 1836, Mercer Co., New Jersey. Emeline was born 3 Dec. 1821, Hopewell Twp., Hunterdon Co., NJ; died 1 May 1882, Hopewell Twp., Mercer Co., NJ. To this marriage there were seven children: Henry Updyke, Peter Updyke, Ellen Updyke, Emily Updyke; Gideon Updike; Catherine Upkyke and Joseph F. Updyke. I have found that Joseph F. Updyke and Peter Updyke were living in Montgomery Twp., Somerset Co., New Jersey in the 1880 census. Gideon Updyke was living at Trenton, Mercer Co., New Jersey in the 1880 census.
If there is any body out there that has information on this family and would share, I would really appreciate it.
