Have tried to get this through several times but cannot see it come up anyplace - so here goes again.

Major Updike married Charlotte South in NJ. About 1805 they went to Fayette Co, KY and apparently are the anbcestors of all the Updikes in KY. Info is scant.

A Major Updike, son or grandson of Major & Charlotte, fought in Battle of Beuna Vista. His name is on monument in Frankfort. His
service record is completely blank except for his name.

Major and Charlotte had a daughter named Keziah - named after her mother.

Only KY Updike I have is a few Civil War pension file info and census records.
