Mrs. Howell,
Your family, including you, your husband, and your daughters are all listed on page 398 of Bob Craig's 1985 Updike genealogy. I talked to Mr. Craig last week concerning the upcoming Updike reunion, and he said he doesn't have many copies of his book left, so I would recommend ordering one whenever possible. Books are $40, including postage, and his address is:
Robert S. Craig
3309 Staunton Avenue SE
Charleston, WV 25302

I am a great-great-great-grandson of Selina Updike Howell's sister, Elizabeth Updike, who married her first cousin, William Updike. Updikes have been notorious for inbreeding, but the offspring of Updike intermarriages have generally turned out fine! My grandfather was an Amon Updike descendant three ways.
Let me know if you want to be included on the mailing list for the Updike Reunion at Bentonville, VA. I am meeting with the reunion secretary this Friday, who also lives here in Richmond. The reunion is almost always the last Sunday in July, but I will confirm it with her.
Good luck with your research. Copies of the Updike book are in the Bedford Museum, in case you wish to see the book before ordering it.
