My great-grandmother, Bessie Updike Overstreet (1887-1970) of Bedford County, VA, had an older brother, Charles G. Updike (1876-1965), who lived at Mount Holly, NJ. My family has lost contact with Uncle Charlie's, and I'm trying to track down his descendants. He had five children, Camille Updike Malik (1906-1981) of Bethel Park, PA, Carroll Updike (1907-1962), Frances Updike Smires (1909-1995) of Bethel Park, PA, Charles Updike, Jr. of Moorestown, NJ, and a daughter whose name we believe was Lois, married to T.B. Russell and living at Maple Shade, NJ in 1965. I located Social Security Death Records for Camille and Frances, who were living in Bethel Park, outside of Pittsburg, when they died, but could not find their obituaries in Pittsburg newspapers.
