Does anyone have information concerning the ancestors of Mary Updegrove who married John Dewees about 1775? Her parents were supposedly William Uptegrove and Sara (last name not known) who were from Delaware.
I have just begun my Updegrove research. Supposedly, Mary Updegrove and John Dewees had the following children:
Sarah Deweese
Joshua Deweese - b. Aug. 3, 1775 in Kent Co. DE?
John Deweese - moved his family to Indiana?
Samuel Deweese - b. abt. 1783? moved to Jackson Co. VA
Wm. Deweese - b. May 3, 1789, in Fayette Co. PA & m.
Rachel Battin (my ancestors)
Isaac Updegrove Deweese - moved his family to VA & drowned
there at a relatively early age.
